It’s Time to Live the Intentional Way…God’s Way

I see you.  I see how hard you work, how much you try to make every moment intentional.  I see you looking back at me, tiredness dragging you down like a ball and chain you can’t shake.

You’re busy.

It’s discouraging to work so hard yet feel like you’ve made so little progress on what really matters.  It’s difficult to look in the mirror and see the effects of too much work and too little sleep, while gravity and time vigilantly chip away your youthful luster.

Maybe you’ve shut down, pretending you don’t care anymore.  Maybe you’ve switched to autopilot, just going through the daily motions of living.

Maybe that seems easier.

I know that feeling.  I know how exhausting it can be to even think about living intentionally.  It’s easier to ignore it.  Fill that void with other things.  Things that, while satisfying in the moment, leave you empty and craving more…

It’s scary to think about change.  It’s scary to think about the consequences of changing.  It’s scary to think about the work and time it takes to change.

There’s a point where, in each person’s life, you hit critical mass.  Enough things build up, producing a chain reaction – a tipping point from which there’s no return.

That can be good or bad.

Because once you tip, there’s no returning to the way things were.

Things may get messy.  They may spiral out of your control.  People may react in unforeseen ways, hurtful ways.

You can use that as a reason to not change; to stay with the familiar, even if it’s not comfortable.  Even if it’s not intentional.

Or you can change anyway.

Don’t Settle

That feeling of restlessness inside you?  It’s a voice that’s telling you to pay attention.  It’s saying that critical mass is getting closer.

It’s saying “Don’t settle!”

Don’t settle for the familiar.

Don’t settle for living your life on autopilot.

I see something else in you.  I see strength and resilience.  I see determination and confidence.  I see desire…

Desire to do more, be more, live more!

You may not see those things right now, but they’re there.  And if I can see them, God definitely does!

God has an amazing purpose for you.

Yes, YOU.  You are precious to Him.  He wants to know you, and for you to know Him.  He wants you to know that you have an important role to fulfill, a purpose that is essential to His plan.  And He wants you to start living it with full intention.

Right now.

It’s time to change your life.  To take charge and start living with full intention, as God has purposed for you.

It’s time to face your fears

Fear of failing…

Fear of succeeding…

Fear of not being good enough…

Fear of embarrassing yourself…

Fear of rejection…

Fear of being alone or lonely…

Be afraid…and change anyway.

You don’t have to wait for your fear to subside.  You just have to have courage.  You have to believe that no matter what, God wants the very best for you.

That doesn’t mean it will be easy, or obstacle-free.

It will be hard.  It will be challenging.  It will be painful at times.

And it will be worth it!

I know that, because I’m living it.  I’ve had to make some hard choices in my life that have led to unforeseen outcomes.  They’ve also led to a desire to pass on what I’ve learned.

A Christian Woman’s Guide to Intentional Living is the culmination of what I’ve learned.

Things I’ve learned through 25 years of being a therapist. But more importantly, what I’ve learned as a woman.

Like you.

…A Christian woman, whose desire is to live an abundant,  purpose-filled life, where hopes, dreams and desires align with God’s Word.

Like you.

Don’t wait for critical mass

Take control of your life from this moment forward!
